Financial Aid for Summer Study
Many Emory graduate and professional students participate in courses during the summer term.
Your eligibility for summer aid will be determined once you enroll in summer courses and aid notifications begin in March. You will not be to receive summer aid if you have exhausted your eligibility during the fall and spring terms.
We recommend you register as early as possible to ensure you receive any funds you are eligible for before the summer payment deadline. If you plan to participate in more than one summer session, you must register for all sessions at the same time.
Once you receive a financial aid notification for summer, any change to your summer enrollment that results in an overall increase or decrease of enrolled hours will result in an adjustment to your aid package. You must immediately email your financial aid advisor if you make any such changes.
Please note the following requirements for establishing eligibility for financial aid during the summer:
- You must be registered for at least five hours in order to be considered for federal or need-based aid.
- You must have completed the FAFSA for the current year before June 30.
- You must have no outstanding items under your To Do list in OPUS Student Portal.
- Laney Graduate School students must also complete the Summer Graduate School Financial Aid Application.
