Emory Advantage Plus is a major expansion of the Emory Advantage program. Starting fall 2026, undergraduate students from families with incomes up to $200,000, with typical assets, will pay zero in tuition to attend Emory.

Emory Advantage Plus covers full tuition, through a variety of grant and scholarship aid sources (federal, state, institutional). The full-tuition scholarships are for the fall and spring terms only. More information on Emory’s Cost of Attendance can be found here.

  • Emory Advantage Plus is open to all domestic first-degree incoming, returning, and transfer undergraduate students enrolled in Emory College, Oxford College, Goizueta Business School (BBA majors), and Emory Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
  • Emory Advantage Plus is open to families with up to $200,000 in total assessed parent income and typical assets, based on calculations completed by the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Students must be enrolled at least half-time.
  • Eligibility is limited to up to eight semesters and applies to the fall and spring terms only.

Continued eligibility will be reviewed on an annual basis, based on required financial aid applications. Incoming students are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile. Returning students are required to complete the FAFSA and the Returning Student Financial Aid Supplement.

  • Income eligibility is based on parental “total income”, not adjusted gross income. Total income includes income from all sources (e.g., salary, tips, earnings, interest, dividends, rental income, capital gains, royalties, severance pay, tax deferred annuities, untaxed income, etc.) and does not include deductions reported on the family’s tax returns.
  • Eligibility is also based on typical assets. The Office of Financial Aid will review the financial aid application materials to determine if assets are typical for the income level.

Whenever possible, Emory will attempt to have students benefit from both external scholarships (i.e., those not from Emory) and to not reduce eligibility for Emory Advantage Plus or other Emory funds.
